Travels With Agatha Christie & Sir David Suchet (Season 1)
While this BritBox Original isn’t a period drama, it’s sure to please fans of the genre: Touching, insightful, humorous and fascinating, this series sees national treasure Sir David Suchet (Poirot) travel around the world, following in the footsteps of the Queen of mystery, Dame Agatha Christie. Before becoming the world’s best-selling author, Agatha Christie embarked upon a world tour in 1922 at age 31. Her ten-month itinerary of the then British Empire took her across South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, along with a holiday to Hawaii. Perceptions of Agatha Christie’s character tend to be dominated by the persona she adopted in public life, when she was seen as a shy individual who disliked fame. But this was a defensive wall erected by Agatha. Now, 100 years on, this journey is an opportunity for Sir David, and all fans of the author, to discover a lesser-known Agatha – the woman she really was. And through recreating her surprising and fascinating journey, he’ll also have a unique chance to explore the history and complex legacy of the British Empire.
Available March 8, 2025: 5 episodes all at once

UPCOMING
Outrageous (2025)
“Outrageous” is the story of six aristocratic sisters who refused to play by the rules, their often-scandalous lives making headlines around the world. Set against the gathering storm clouds of the 1930s, masked by the decadence, frivolity and lavishness of British high society, “Outrageous” will bring the full, uncensored story of the Mitford sisters to the screen for the first time – a story of family bonds and betrayals, public scandal, political extremism, love, heartache and even imprisonment. The show explores how and why these women, unwilling to conform, were so ahead of their time – and what drove them to take their very different, complex and often dangerous paths. A family saga like no other, this is the Mitfords as they really were: unapologetic, outrageous and utterly human.
The six-part series is created and written by Sarah Williams (Small Island, The Long Song), and is based on Mary Lovell’s definitive biography The Mitford Girls.
Bessie Carter (Bridgerton) is set to star as Nancy Mitford, alongside Joanna Vanderham (The Go-Between) as Diana Mitford, Shannon Watson (Say Nothing) as Unity Mitford, Zoe Brough (Father Brown) as Jessica Mitford, Orla Hill (Swallows and Amazons) as Deborah Mitford and Isobel Jesper Jones (The Serpent Queen) as Pamela Mitford. Their brother Tom will be played by Toby Regbo (Belgravia: The Next Chapter), with Anna Chancellor (My Lady Jane) and James Purefoy (Rome) at the top of the family tree as Muv and Farve.
Other cast includes Joshua Sasse (Galavant) as Oswald Mosley, Jamie Blackley (Becoming Elizabeth) as Peter Rodd, James Musgrave (The King’s Man) as Hamish Erskine, Calam Lynch (Bridgerton) as Bryan Guinness and Will Attenborough (The Hollow Crown) as Joss.

ANNOUNCED
Filming in 2025: The BBC and BritBox have announced Agatha Christie’s “Endless Night,” a new three-part series produced by Mammoth Screen and Agatha Christie Limited, in a co-commission with BritBox International. The series will air on BBC iPlayer and BBC One, and on BritBox in the U.S. and Canada.
Sarah Phelps returns to adapt the classic mystery novel by the best-selling author of all time: It’s 1967 and man-of-many-trades Michael Rogers finds himself working as chauffeur for the enigmatic designer du jour Rudolf Santonix, snatching a glimpse into a glamorous world of outrageous wealth that’s far from his own upbringing. Transfixed by Santonix’s latest project, a beautiful house in the English countryside, Mike dreams of meeting the love of his life and taking up residence. But unbeknownst to Mike, the house that he has set his heart on has a dark past that goes back for centuries. Local legend says that it is haunted by a curse that no one escapes. When Mike meets the sweet-natured Ellie and, by a curious set of circumstances, finds himself moving into the house, the young couple start to realize they should have listened to the warnings. As increasingly strange and chilling events occur, they start to wonder if the curse is real and means to destroy them. Or, that someone is intent on terrifying them to death. A ghost story and a love story, “Endless Night” is about obsession and the darkness that lurks in us all when we want too much. Casting to be announced in due course.
